Attendance that does the payroll maths.

Staff clock in from their phone or with a QR ID card. You see who came late, who left early and who stayed late, and exactly what each adds to or takes from their pay.

Create a company account

Android, iPhone and computer. No app store needed.

Running in an afternoon.

No hardware to buy. Your team uses the phones they already carry; a spare phone or tablet at the door becomes a kiosk.

  1. Install and sign up

Add the app to your phone, create your company and confirm your email with a 6-digit code.

  2. Share one link

Post your invite link in the staff WhatsApp group. Each person registers and gets a staff ID and QR code.

  3. Clock in, every day

Staff tap Clock in near the office, or scan their QR at the kiosk. Early leavers must give a reason.

  4. Close the month

Deductions and overtime are already worked out. Lock the month and export it for payroll.

Your whole team on one screen, by 8:15.

Each line is a staff member’s day: the shaded band is their shift, green is time at work, amber is lateness, blue is overtime.

Set your rules once. The money follows.

Every company works differently, so every number below is yours to change. When a rule changes, open days are recalculated; closed months stay exactly as they were.

Late after

10 min grace

Arrive after the grace period and it’s marked late. Deduct a flat amount, a rate per minute, or the actual pay for the time missed.

Leaving early

Reason required

Clocking out before the shift ends asks for a reason. Managers can excuse it so no deduction applies.

Overtime

After 30 min · ×1.5

Stay past the threshold and the extra time is counted in 15-minute blocks, paid at a multiple of hourly pay or a fixed hourly rate, with optional approval.

Missed day

1 day’s pay

A working day with no clock-in becomes an absence the next morning, with the deduction you choose.

Leave & holidays

Never counted

Approved leave and public holidays are left out of attendance rates, scores and deductions.

Fair ceiling

Monthly cap

Optionally cap total deductions at a percentage of salary, so a bad month never wipes out a payslip.

Staff see what you see.

No surprises on payday. Everyone can open the app and check their own record.

  • Missed days and the amount to be deducted, updated every morning.
  • A weekly summary by email with their score, lateness and overtime.
  • A staff ID with a QR code that refreshes every 20 seconds on the phone, or prints on a card.
  • Leave requests and corrections without chasing anyone on WhatsApp.

Built so the numbers hold up.

When someone disputes a deduction, you can show exactly where it came from.

Location checks

Phone clock-ins must happen inside the radius you set around your office or site.

QR codes that expire

The phone QR changes every 20 seconds, so a forwarded screenshot won’t clock anyone in.

Locked months

Closing a payroll month freezes its figures. Reopening it is logged.

Full activity log

Every edit, approval and rule change is recorded with who did it and when.

Verified emails

Companies and staff confirm their email with a one-time code before they get in.

Your own server

Runs on PostgreSQL on your VPS, with automatic daily backups.

Questions

Do staff need to download anything from an app store?

No. Attendly installs straight from the browser. On Android tap Install; on iPhone use Share → Add to Home Screen. It then opens full screen like any other app.

What if a staff member doesn’t have a smartphone?

Print their ID card. They scan it at a kiosk: any phone or tablet at the entrance, paired to your company with a one-time code.

Can someone clock in for a colleague?

Phone clock-ins are tied to each person’s own login and location. At the kiosk, the staff photo appears on every scan so whoever is at the door can check it’s the right person. You can also switch off printed cards and only accept the expiring phone QR.

How are deductions worked out from salary?

A day’s pay is the monthly salary divided by the scheduled working days that month (holidays excluded). Hourly and per-minute pay come from the shift length. You can use fixed amounts instead if you don’t want to enter salaries.

What happens on days someone is on leave?

Approved leave days are skipped completely. They don’t lower attendance or punctuality, aren’t marked absent and never cost anything, even if the leave is approved after the day has passed.

Does it work without internet?

The app opens offline, but clocking in needs a connection so the time and location are checked by the server. This is what makes the record trustworthy.

Put it on your phone first.

Install the app, then create your company in about two minutes.
